Big Kid Storytime in YA. Do you remember how calm and peaceful you felt when mom, your teacher, an older sibling or anyone else read you stories as a kid? Well, it’s time to return to that happy place. Ms. Christina will read stories once a month on Wednesdays this fall. Bring your pillow, blankie, or favorite stuffie and settle down for some good old fashioned stress relief.
Here’s what we received new this month. First come first served so come on in and get your favorite before someone else does!
What if Belle’s mother cursed the Beast? Is “happily ever after” really happy? Since when is Rapunzel trapped in a satellite? You know the fairy tales, now read the spin-offs. You’re bound to find one you like in Fairy Tales Like You’ve Never Seen Them.
Are the classics too stuffy? Is Shakespeare just to hard to understand? Who was Dorian Gray anyway? We have the solution in A New Take on an Old Story.
Check them out. The stories you thought you knew will never be the same again.
Students attending our September meeting will help plan all teen related events through December. So if you’ve ever thought “I wish the library would…”, now is your chance to make it happen.
