What is a Teen Advisory Board (TAB)?

Teens! – Have a say in all things teen at the library!  Join our board – there is a one school year commitment – and you get have a say in events, our webpage and eventually our teen area re-design. Board members also get to review the books they are already reading for our webpage – your can let the world know why you really loved or really hated that last book. And, you get tasty snacks while we meet in the Stride Room.

One school year commitment, monthly meetings and minimal outside work required.  New members always welcome.

Board time can often be used for community service hours. Check your organizations requirements.

Wednesday, March 25 @ 3 Fast & Furious 6 – catch up or be reminded before Fast and Furious 7 is released in April.
Spend the afternoon enjoying pizza and a movie with your friends. Snacks and an optional hands on project provided. Program Room

Saturday, June 6 @ 2:30 Spend the afternoon enjoying pizza and a movie with your friends. Movie is TBD so feel free to make suggestions. (Must be PG-13 or less and covered by the library’s very broad license to show movies publicly.) Snacks and a hands on project provided.  Program Room.

Dig in and get creative because we have lots of new things for you to try here at the library. No registration limits; just show up and have fun.

Monday, March  16 @ 4:30 – Come use our “maker” machines – vinyl cutter, heat press and 3D printer.  Librarians will be available to help/teach you the technology if you need it. Are you an expert?  Teach us something new too.  Computers, materials and snacks provided.  It’s time to get your hands on this cool new technology. – Program Room

Friday, March 20 @ 5 – It’s all about presentation.  Bring your friends and your favorite photos. We’ll help you make them look great.  Scrapbook supplies and a snack provided! Program room

Thursday, April 2 @ 5 – Elaborately decorate eggs for Easter or just for fun.  Either way, they’ll look great because you created them.  Supplies and a snack provided. Upstairs program room

Thursday, June 11 @ 4:30 – Enjoy a cafe atmosphere @ your library.  We’ll have snacks, board games and DIY for break time as well as computers and other resources for studying.  Come enjoy a study break with friends or get focused away from the distractions of home.  – Program Room
