Kids Downloadables

3M Cloud Library XXXXX Overdrive E-Zone Library
eBooks for children – browse shelves including Selected Children’s Novels, Information Books for Children, Storybooks for Young Children and Learning to Read.  Patrons must have a Newport Public Library card to borrow books from the 3M Cloud Library. XXXXX eBooks and audiobooks for children - find children’s fiction and non-fiction and check out Rhode Island Children’s Book Award titles.  An Ocean State Library Card is required to borrow from the E-Zone library.XXXXXXXX

Playaways & Playaway Views

Playaway and Playaway View

Playaways and Playaway Views are self-playing, pre-loaded digital media players.  Playaways are audiobooks and Playaway Views are digital video players.  We have a wide-variety of titles for children of all ages.  Listen or watch anywhere, anytime!

Spanish Collection

Habia Una Vez

The children’s collection includes a section of books that are bilingual and in Spanish.  This collection includes picture books, easy readers, chapter books and non-fiction as well as DVDs, graphic novels and board books.

Circulating Toys

Puzzle

Find puzzles, card and learning games, and toys that can be checked out with your library card.  These circulating toys are located in the Children’s Department on the shelf above children’s software and music CDs.

Graphic Novels

Babymouse Queen of the World

Explore graphic novels for kids, from picture books and easy readers, to chapter books and non-fiction.  Graphic novels are great for reluctant or struggling readers and have been proven to improve reading development. 

Circulating Reference

Lost Civilizations

Reference books on topics such as the elements, wildlife and animals, explorers, lost civilizations, Native Americans, Colonial America and more are available for check out.  No longer for in library use only, these topical and detailed materials are available to be checked out for 7 days with your library card.
