Every Other Monday from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm, November 3rd – December 29th

Lego Club Children ages 6-12 are invited to drop-in to our brand new LEGO Club!  All materials will be provided for this free program.  LEGO creations must stay at the library, so bring a camera!  Please leave your own LEGOs at home so that you don’t lose your favorite pieces.  Held in the John Clarke Children’s Program Room.  No registration is required.  For more information visit the Children’s Desk or call 401-847-8720 ext. 204.

Kids Movie Matinee:  The LEGO Movie

Saturday, January 3rd at 2:30 pm

lego movie poster Children ages 6 – 12 and their families are invited to a free afternoon showing of The Lego Movie, rated PG.  Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure, is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.  He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmett is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.  No registration is required for this free event.  Held in lower level program room.

Bilingual Storytime

Saturday, January 10th at 11:00 am

Local Spanish teacher Dana Edward Ramey will provide a Bilingual Storytime for families with children ages 3 – 12.  These storytimes present children’s books in English and Spanish, use songs and poems and provide a related activity.  Bilingual Storytime is excellent for families who speak Spanish as their first language as well as for children who are learning English or Spanish as a second language.  No registration is required.  Held in the John Clarke Children’s Program Room.
