Teen Movie – Miracle

MiracleSaturday – January 31 – 2:30pm – Program Room

Spend the afternoon enjoying pizza and a movie with your friends.   Make personalized, permanent coffee mug holders and watch  Miracle – the story of the 1980 Olympic  Hockey Team (all amateurs) defeating the Soviet Team (who had won 6 of the last 7 Olympic gold medals) and Team Finland to win the gold for the US.  It is considered by many Americans to be “the greatest moment in sports history”.

Gilded Age Tea returns

Gilded Age Tea  Saturday, February 7th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Please join us for a fabulous Gilded Age Tea, to benefit the Newport Public Library, at the Hotel Viking.

Tea includes wonderful sandwiches, pastries and a glass of champagne!

$28.00 per person;  reservations are required and may be made by calling the Viking Hotel at 401-848-4824.

February 14th at 2:00 p.m. – Janet Barrett, author of They Called Her Reckless – the story of a very special horse who became a member of the U.S. Marine Fifth Regiment’s Rifle Platoon
