FramedOur popular Books and Authors Series continues with a great line-up of authors and presenters coming to the Newport Library.

November 22nd at 2:00 p.m. – Marc Seifer, author of Framed! Murder, Corruption and a Death Sentence in Florida.

December 13th at 2:00 p.m. – John K. Fulweiler, Jr., author of A Swim: A Block Islander Who Refused to Drown.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

TurkeyThe library will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26th and remain closed all day November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We will re-open on Friday, November 28th at 9:30 a.m., when regular hours will resume.

Musical Sundays returns

Irish Christmas music Sunday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m.

Lindsay Straw and Caroline O’Shea will perform Christmas music with an Irish twist.

This musical offering is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.

Teen Maker’s Were Awesome – Next, 3D Printing!

Our teens are the best! tshirts1tshirts2

They made their own t-shirts Thursday, Nov 13, with our vinyl cutter and heat press. They even learned h0w to find images on-line without violating copyright.
And, they did it all while having fun!

Next is the 3-D printer on Thursday Dec. 11th at 5:00 pm for grades 7 -12!

The wall will be up during the month of November.
