The Annual Appeal
Each year the Newport Public Library mounts an Annual Appeal. We hope that philanthropically minded members of our community believe that the library is an organization that truly serves the community and will choose to give generously.

Although not a city department, the library is generously supported by both the city and state. Annually, however, we must raise between 5-8% of our budget. An adequate budget assures our patrons that the library is, at all times
- immaculately maintained and welcoming
- contains the latest in computer technology
- provides an up-to-date collection that serves user needs
- employs a well-trained and friendly staff,
- and continues to offer quality, free programs for all ages.

The Perfect Gift

Celebrate a special occasion, honor someone you love, or remember a loved one through The Perfect Gift program at the Newport Public Library.
|
Twenty-five dollars will place a bookplate in a new book, remembering or honoring a person special to you. That person (or that person's family) will receive a card, acknowledging your gift.
To participate in the Perfect Gift program, simply pick up a form at the library's Administration Office, fill it out and give it to the Secretary, with your check. |
