A Talk With Maiyah Gamble-Rivers

Maiyah is a Rhode Island native. She is currently a second year Masters fellow at the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice (CSSJ). Her work for the Center involves engaging high school students with the Center and its exhibits.

The CSSJ is a scholarly research center with a public humanities mission. It creates a space for the interdisciplinary study of the historical forms of slavery while also examining how these legacies shape our contemporary world.
